Press Release Body = The Painted Mermaid Gallery, owned by Mermaid Artist Brenda Ellis Sauro, presently represents 45 Maine artists and artisans, displaying original paintings in all media's, along with photography, sculpture, pottery, hand-blown glass, hand-crafted furniture, jewelry and fiber arts.
Painted Mermaid Gallery has evolved into an important art center in Western Maine. Art classes are available for both adults (beginners and advanced) and children. Brenda's love for the human form was nurtured by the ocean, sea life and beautiful beaches in Cape Cod, where she lived as a child. This combination of factors grew into a love for drawing and painting mermaids. Brenda's art adorns the walls of many homes all over the United States and displays her wonderful talent of endearing mermaids to still another generation.
